Women Franchise Owners

Women today have a tremendous opportunity to open and operate a franchise business. This blog post highlights the franchise business resources that are being made available to women wishing to start a franchise business in this new and exciting economic and political environment.

The political backdrop for women has never been better. President Trump has appointed a woman, Linda McMahon, to head the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the President recently hosted a roundtable of women small business owners at the White House. The president’s daughter Ivanka co-hosted the event and is expected to take a leading role in creating opportunities for women in starting and managing their own business.

A few of the topics that were covered at the meeting were:

1. “Addressing the barriers faced by women professionals and entrepreneurs, including access to capital, access to markets, and access to networks”

2. The creation of “SBA’s Women’s Business Centers” in order to guide women in the development of a business plan.

3. Creation of a “National Network of Legal Advisors” to provide answers to a women entrepreneur’s legal questions.

4. Business connections that provide essential services to women entrepreneurs such as multilingual business communications, information technology staffing, environmental regulations, translation services for international entrepreneurs, and many other needed services.

Now is a great time for women, and men, to start their own franchise business. More than anything, special considerations have been given by the Trump administration to make capital available to women who want to start a business.

International franchise attorney Mario L. Herman assists women wanting to start and operate any franchise business. Please give Mr. Herman a call today for a franchise consultation.
