On July 14, 2017, the International Franchise Industry held its annual trade show in New York City featuring franchise opportunities and professionals from around the world. Leading industry analysts reported that the international franchise industry never looked more promising as restrictions to starting and operating a business were being repealed the world over, but especially in the United States where the franchise model looks to outperform other methods of starting a business. World wide franchising is expected to grow over 5% per year. New ideas from operating food trucks to building “reality get away camps” can be had from anywhere from $10,000 to $1 million.

In addition, international franchisors were at the expo to pitch the benefits of expanding a domestic franchise to the overseas markets. Of particular interest are the investment opportunities in India and the Asian region.

The International Franchise Industry Convention is an event every aspiring young business person should attend, to not only get ideas and inspiration, but also to meet other entrepreneurs and to make important business connections in the franchise industry.
